Peking Soy

Attention Asian food lovers! This recipe is so tasteful and so similar to the meat version that your folks could be fooled! A great choice for a Christmas meal or to convert people to veganism haha

For 3-4 people:

  • 4 tbsp agave syrup
  • 6 tbsp Soy sauce (salted)
  • 3tbsp vegetable oil (I used olive oil to cook and sesame for the sauce)
  • 100gr of textured soy protein in elongated shape
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 1L water

Rehydrate the soy protein in 1L of boiling water (in a large bowl off the heat) with the vegetable stock cube for 30 minutes. Drain. Heat 2tbsp of oil in a pan and add the proteins, cook for 5minutes to grill sightly.
Mix the agave syrup, the soy sauce and 1tbsp of sesame oil. Put in the pan. Toss until all the sauce is absorbed. (around 5min)
Ready to eat!

I served it with cereals but I think it would be better with rice and Asian mix vegetables.
